EAST CAPE GIRARDEAU, Ill. -- Tom Rhinerson, 81, of East Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 2, 1920, in Knottsville, Ky., son of John and Nellie Millay Rhinerson.
Rhinerson was a truck driver 37 years with ABF. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion Post 900 at McClure, Ill., and Cave City Lodge 790 AF&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Olive Betty Rhinerson; a son, Louis Rhinerson of Owensboro, Ky.; a daughter, Joyce Miller of Owensboro; a stepdaughter, Judith Ashley of East Cape Girardeau; a stepson, William Summer of Jacksonville, Ill.; two sisters, Willa Combs and Margie Roberts of Owensboro; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, five brothers, and four sisters.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and Friday until time of service.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Raymond Oxford officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.
