GLENALLEN, Mo. -- Tom A. Pridy, 86, of Glenallen died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born June 7, 1919, in Glenallen, son of the Rev. Otto and Tora Richards Pridy. He and Shirley Gower were married April 14, 1946.
Pridy had been an area supervisor with the Department of Revenue. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a sergeant in the 804th Tank Destroyer Battalion during World War II, having served in North Africa, Italy and England.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tom Pridy of Grassy, Mo.; two daughters, Nancy Townsend of Jackson, Rose Ann Barks of Marble Hill, Mo.; a sister, Ann Hovis of Zalma, Mo.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo., from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
