BLOOMFIELD -- Walter "Tom" Merideth, 65, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, June 7, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 16, 1930, in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., son of John R. and Ethel Baker Merideth. He and Vivian Choat were married Oct. 23, 1948, in Poplar Bluff.
Merideth was a retired die setter and machinist at Purolator Products in Dexter. He had lived in St. Louis 17 years, and also live at Dudley. He moved here in 1969.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Thomas Merideth of Bloomfield; a daughter, Cynthia Gillespie of Bloomfield; two brothers, Dallas Merideth of Fisk, J.D. Merideth of Pevely; three sisters, Evadeen Choat of Puxico, Betty Aslin of Bloomfield, Ann Brooks of Festus; his stepmother, Libby Merideth of Dudley, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a half brother.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Revs. Kenneth Lambert and Kevin Eskew will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield Cemetery.
