DEXTER, Mo. -- Tom A. McCoy Sr., 73, of Dexter died Thursday, March 8, 2001.
He was born Oct. 26, 1927, at Bernie, Mo., son of George and Bertha Garner McCoy. He and Ella Edwards were married Dec. 6, 1948, at Piggott, Ark.
McCoy was former superintendent of Hidden Trails Country Club in Dexter. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tom McCoy Jr. of Kennett, Mo., and Chris McCoy of Dexter; a daughter, Linda Mehner of Plattsburg, Mo.; a brother, Floyd McCoy and a sister, Maxine Smith, both of Chiloquin, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son and five brothers.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with Dale Grissom officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery.
