MORLEY, Mo. -- Tom H. Gross, 92, of Morley died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 4, 1908, at Marquand, Mo., son of William and Emma Sarah Yount Gross. He and Eithel Mae Neldon were married Sept. 24, 1938. She died July 17, 1982.
Gross was a retired farmer. He worked on the railroad during the 1940s.
Survivors include four sons, George Gross of Blytheville, Ark., Roy Gross of Blodgett, Mo., Steve Gross of Morley, Don Gross of Benton, Mo.; five daughters, Vickie Wallace of Granite City, Ill., Gracie Stovall of Morley, Jane Groff of St. Louis, Betty Holland of Vanduser, Mo., Reba Somers of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 40 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sons, three daughters, three brothers, three sisters, and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 5 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Delbert Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
