SIKESTON -- T.J. Sanders, 75, of Sikeston, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at his home. He was born May 31, 1923, at Dexter, son of Thomas Jacob and Grace Hall Sanders II. He married Emily Mae Fulford in Piggott, Ark., on April 22, 1950. She survives. He served in the Navy. He was a retired teacher in the Bell City School District. SIKESTON -- T.J. Sanders, 75, of Sikeston, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at his home.

He was born May 31, 1923, at Dexter, son of Thomas Jacob and Grace Hall Sanders II.

He married Emily Mae Fulford in Piggott, Ark., on April 22, 1950. She survives.

He served in the Navy. He was a retired teacher in the Bell City School District. He attended the Morehouse Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a son, Chris Sanders of Sikeston; four daughters, Tomasue Jones of Cross City, Fla., Carla Faughman of Knoxville, Tenn., Nancy James of Palm Coast, Fla., and Melinda Sanders of Sikeston; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son and sister.

Service will be at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Bob Burnes officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
