Tivis E. Statler Jr., 69, of Graham, Texas, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1993, at Graham General Hospital.
He was born Dec. 6, 1923, at Cape Girardeau, son of Tivis E. and Mabel Catharine Seabaugh Statler. He was reared by George and Polly Roe of Sedgewickville.
Statler first married Naomi Favors Feb. 27, 1943, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She died April 10, 1970. He and Rosalie Weninegan McCracken were married March 29, 1979, in Corpus Christi.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carol Smith of Graham, Martha Dillin of Temple, Texas; two sons, Charles Statler of Abilene, Texas, Tivis Statler III of Waco, Texas; a stepson, Joseph McCracken of Graham; three brothers, Paul Statler of Poplar Bluff, Burl and Jack Statler of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Gerri Reiminger of Cape Girardeau; a stepbrother, Stanley Richardson of Cape Girardeau; a stepsister, Hazel Ford of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, and two stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Arrangements are incomplete at McCmillan Satterwhite Funeral Home in Graham.
