CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Tina Lou Jones, 85, of Chaffee passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born Jan. 5, 1932, in Hoxie, Arkansas, to the late William Stanley and Ethel Mae Schales Jones of Havana, Arkansas.
Tina lived in Oxnard, California, for 20 years prior to moving to Piedmont, Missouri, where she was an avid member of First Baptist Church and a member of Piedmont Eastern Star.
She later moved to Van Buren, Missouri, and Delta, where she owned and operated Tina's BBQ for several years. She then retired in Chaffee.
Survivors include two daughters, Resa Patterson of Granbury, Texas, and Robin Patterson of Chaffee; a son, Rodney Patterson of Chaffee; two brothers, Ken Jones of Springdale, Arkansas, and Jerry Jones of Meiners Oak, California; three sisters, Billie Harvey of Oxnard, Dorothy Keathley of Danville, Arkansas, and Maxine Ray of Russellville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Brittany Tidwell of Chaffee and Betina Ott of St. Louis; and four great-grandchildren, Drake, Lakelyn, Mariah and McKenna. In addition, she affectionately and dearly considered Bobby Warner of Chaffee her second son and Tere Tankersley of Granbury an extended family member as well.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Sue Patterson, and a sister, Charlsa Copeland of Danville.
Caretaker and devoted friend of the family, Bobby has the family's special gratitude for his caregiving, tireless efforts and huge heart of affection towards Tina. Also, special thanks to Barb Laxton for the caregiving and friendship she brought to Tina.
Funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, with the Rev. Matt Butrum officiating. Interment will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Piedmont.
