SIKESTON, Mo. -- Tillman E. Williams, 84, of Sikeston, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 28, 1915, in Alicia, Ark., to John A. and Ellen Parkus Williams. He and Esther O. Kell were married in Alicia on March 8, 1938.
Williams worked for 15 years in the Sikeston public schools.
Survivors include his wife; eight sons, John T. Williams of Madera, Calif., Merlin Williams of Lake of Egypt, Ill., Leon Williams of Scott, Ark., Chuck Williams of Euless, Texas, Wendell Williams of Dahlonega, Ga., and Jim, Harold and David Williams, all of Sikeston; two daughters, Della M. Phillips of Benton, Mo., and Laverle Ryal of Spring Hill, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Wanda L. Faughn of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; three brothers, Robert Williams of Austin, Ark., Billy Williams of Jacksonville, Ark., and Eugene Williams of Cabot, Ark.; five sisters, Lorene Cato of Lakeland, Fla., June Morris of Lees Summit, Mo., Juanita Wooley and Pearl Swain, both of Cabot, and Louise Lillico of Kansas City, Mo.; 28 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
