PERKINS -- Thurmon Leon Willett, 72, of Linn, died Sunday, June 2, 1991, at Truman VA Hospital in Columbia. He was born May 2, 1919, at Perkins, son of Robert C. and Vespa Reed Willett. He and the former Hazel Tharpe were married July 15, 1955. Willett was a school administrator many years. He was a retired captain with Missouri National Guard, and was a veteran of World War II. PERKINS -- Thurmon Leon Willett, 72, of Linn, died Sunday, June 2, 1991, at Truman VA Hospital in Columbia.

He was born May 2, 1919, at Perkins, son of Robert C. and Vespa Reed Willett. He and the former Hazel Tharpe were married July 15, 1955.

Willett was a school administrator many years. He was a retired captain with Missouri National Guard, and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and Linn Masonic Lodge 326.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Thurmon Willett Jr. of the state of Oregon, Robert Willett of Arvada, Colo., John and William Willett of Linn; a daughter, Judy Rehfeld of Appleton, Wis.; a sister, Margie Martin of Annandale, Va., and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at St. John's Church. The Rev. Robert Moger will officiate, with burial in Roanoke Cemetery near Roanoke.

Morton Funeral Home at Linn is in charge of arrangements.
