SIKESTON, Mo. -- Thurman Beeson, 55, of Sikeston died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at his home. He was born April 17, 1948, in Sikeston, son of W.T. and Clera E. Littrell Beeson. Beeson had been a deputy with New Madrid County Sheriff's Department, a security guard at Noranda Aluminum, and owned and operated Thurman's MFA in New Madrid until retiring because of ill health. SIKESTON, Mo. -- Thurman Beeson, 55, of Sikeston died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at his home.

He was born April 17, 1948, in Sikeston, son of W.T. and Clera E. Littrell Beeson.

Beeson had been a deputy with New Madrid County Sheriff's Department, a security guard at Noranda Aluminum, and owned and operated Thurman's MFA in New Madrid until retiring because of ill health. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Tony Beeson; his mother; fiancee, Barbara Flippo; a brother, Tommy Beeson, all of Sikeston; two sisters, Karen McBride of State Road, N.C., Jacqueline Hubbert of Benton, Mo.; two grandsons; and a stepgranddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Lemons officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
