MARBLE HILL -- Thompson "Tom" Harris, 88, of Marble Hill, died Sunday, May 28, 1995, at his home. He was born May 15, 1907, in Pontotoc County, Miss., son of Furman and Lizzie Pearl Brown Harris. He and Pearl Masters were married Feb. 26, 1937. Harris was a retired press operator with Westvaco Paper Co. The family moved to this area in 1973 from St. Louis. MARBLE HILL -- Thompson "Tom" Harris, 88, of Marble Hill, died Sunday, May 28, 1995, at his home.

He was born May 15, 1907, in Pontotoc County, Miss., son of Furman and Lizzie Pearl Brown Harris. He and Pearl Masters were married Feb. 26, 1937.

Harris was a retired press operator with Westvaco Paper Co. The family moved to this area in 1973 from St. Louis. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Leon Harris of St. Louis, and a sister, Margaret Warren of New Orleans, La.

He was preceded in death by five brothers.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Randy Masters and Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 5900.
