PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Thomas G. Tucker Jr., 62, of Perryville died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at his home.
He was born Feb. 11, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, son of Thomas Gilmore and Emma Catherine Blechle Tucker. He and Brenda Coy were married July 17, 1976.
Tucker was executive director of Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, National Association of Development Organization, NARC, National Association of Regional Councils, Chamber of Commerce, American Legion, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, and Kiwanis in Perryville. He was a board member of NATD, and served on Citizens Electric Corp. Board of Directors.
He served in the U.S. Navy from March 1960 to January 1964.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Cindy Fahrendorf of Ellisville, Mo., Amy Tucker of Nashville, Tenn., Emily Tucker of the home; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. A wake will be held at 7 tonight.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, with military rites by American Legion Post 133.
