PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Thomas P. "Tom" Tomlinson, 57, of Perryville died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at his home. He was born May 10, 1947, at St. Louis, son of Terence and Doris Schermeier Tomlinson. PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Thomas P. "Tom" Tomlinson, 57, of Perryville died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at his home.

He was born May 10, 1947, at St. Louis, son of Terence and Doris Schermeier Tomlinson.

He and Orlene K. Sanders were married Aug. 19, 1972.

He was the owner-operator of McDonald's restaurants in Perryville, Chester, Ill., and Ste. Genevieve, Mo., for 25 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War era, a member of American Legion Post 133, past president of the Perry County Development Corp. and had also served as a board member. He was also past president of the Perryville Optimist Club and served on the board of directors for the Bank of Missouri, past president for the Ronald McDonald House Charities and past president of the Perryville Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tom Tomlinson Jr. of Chester, Kirt Tomlinson of Perryville; two sisters, Carol Grote of Wentzville, Mo., Chris Meyer of Chesterfield, Mo., and a grandson.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. Tuesday. The rosary will be at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, with military honors by American Legion Post 133.
