SIKESTON -- Thomas Ryan Jr., 74, of Sikeston died Saturday, June 28, 1997, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. SIKESTON -- Thomas Ryan Jr., 74, of Sikeston died Saturday, June 28, 1997, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born April 7, 1923, in Sikeston, son of Thomas Bradford and Ida Mae Williams Ryan. He and Beatrice M. Bollinger of Benton were married on Dec. 2, 1944. She survives.

Ryan was a lifelong resident of Sikeston and served as a private in the M.P.s in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a general building contractor with Ryan Construction and later with Bridger Construction Company.

Survivors include two sons Thomas R. Ryan and Gary W. Ryan, both of Sikeston; a daughter Sandra K. Tolbert of Advance; a brother Alfred "Joe" Ryan of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel. Burial will be in the Memories Cemetery.
