Thomas Lee Moore Sr., 78, of Jackson died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, at his home.
He was born Feb. 15, 1945, in Cape Girardeau to Fred and Francis Diamond Moore.
Thomas proudly served in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He honorably and bravely fought in the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
Survivors include three sons, Tom (Julie) Moore Jr., Danny Moore and Nick Moore Sr.; five grandchildren, Taylor (Tyler) Hendrix, Victoria Moore, Nick Moore Jr., Camdon Moore and Bella Ribble; and two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Stetson Hendrix.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow at noon Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the funeral home, with Deacon Rob Huff officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
