MILLERSVILLE, Mo. -- Thomas William "Tom Bill" Lukefahr, 72, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Friends may call Monday, Feb. 11, between 4-8 p.m. at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, Mo.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home, followed by interment in Whitewater Cemetery. The Revs. Grant Gillard and Don Blaylock will officiate.
Mr. Lukefahr was born March 23, 1929, at Daisy, Mo., son of the late Thomas "Jeff" and Hattie May Blaylock Lukefahr. He and Louise Diamond were united in marriage Nov. 28, 1947, at the Presbyterian Church in Patton, Mo.
Loving survivors include his wife, Louise; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Suzie Lukefahr of Jackson; a daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Darold Roe of Sikeston, Mo.; a brother, Pervis Lukefahr of Marble Hill, Mo.; two sisters, Ruby Bollinger of Butler Hill, Mo., and Hazel Hahs of Sedgewickville, Mo.; three grandsons; two granddaughters; and four great-grandsons.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
Mr. Lukefahr graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1947. He was a member of the West-View Masonic Lodge of Millersville, and the Sword of Bunker Hill.
He was a member of the Whitewater Presbyterian Church, where he had served as a former deacon and elder and had been active on various church committees.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Whitewater Cemetery Fund or the American Cancer Society.
