SIKESTON -- Thomas J. Monan, 68, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born May 3, 1925, in Sikeston, son of Thomas H. and Ida May Henson Monan. He and Jeanetta Wray Holland were married May 13, 1950, in Sikeston.
Monan was a retired truck driver with Malone and Hyde, and had received seven safe driving awards. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Monan served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Sgt. Thomas Monan of Azores Islands; two daughters, Linda Masterson of Sikeston, Teresa Meyer of Sikeston; two sisters, Dorothy Miller of Oran, Betty Hessling of St. Charles; 8 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Elder David Webb will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
