Graveside service for Thomas M. Howell of Cape Girardeau Veterans Home was held Monday at Memorial Park. The Rev. Cy Smith officiated. Military rites were conducted by VFW Post 3838.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Howell, 69, died Friday, Jan. 26, 1996, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington.
He was born July 3, 1926, in Judsonia, Ark.
Howell served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a self-employed truck driver more than 20 years and then owned a peach orchard in Campbell 16 years.
Survivors include his fiancee, Vivian Collene Duckett of Cape Girardeau.
