COBDEN, Ill. -- Thomas Freddie Hodges, 82, of Bensenville and formerly of Cobden, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
He was born April 18, 1917, in Cobden, son of James A. and Anna Mary Blessing Hodges. He and Mary E. Nipper were married June 14, 1975, in Chicago.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was an employee of General Motors Corp. until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife and a sister, Ruth Hunter of Paducah, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden.
Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
