Thomas Bernard Heisserer, 67, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at his home.
He was born Feb. 17, 1951, in St. Louis to the late Joseph P. and Colletta Louise Glastetter Heisserer. Thomas and Sharon Kay Strange were married Aug. 26, 1972, in New Hamburg, Missouri. She survives of the home.
He was a graduate of Kelly High School and worked nearly 40 years for the Sheet Metal Workers Local 36. He was a former member of the Jackson Knights of Columbus 6405 and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sharon Heisserer; sons, Troy (Kristi) and Todd (Rhonda) Heisserer of Jackson; daughters, Tonya Heisserer and Kim (Wayne) Dalton of Cape Girardeau; brothers, Elmer (Sue) Heisserer and Ralph (Debbie) Heisserer of New Hamburg; sisters, Dorothy Menz of New Hamburg, Anna (Fred) Bollinger of Kelso, Missouri, Helen (Frank) Cleary of Oklahoma and Kathy (Brian) Boecsh of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Clare Heisserer; 11 grandchildren, Morgan Heisserer, Craig Heisserer, Clayton Heisserer, Colton Heisserer, Quentin Kent, Jordan Kent, Kieara Harris, Kirsten Miller, Ryan Miller, Payton Isaac and Sammy Jessie; two great-grandchildren, Hudson James Fields and Bradyn Isaac; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joe Heisserer; and a brother-in-law, Cletus Menz.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with parish prayers at 7 p.m., at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
