Thomas Duckworth
DONGOLA, Ill. -- Thomas Duckworth, 62, of Dongola, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at home.
He was born Sept. 3, 1944, in Melrose Park, Ill., son of Justus Thomas and Frances Luvene Long Duckworth.
Duckworth was an adjuster at Olin Ammunition Plant. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a daughter, Gina Ernst of Dunnellon, Fla.; his father, of Dongola; three brothers, James Duckworth, Robert Duckworth, both of Anna, Ill., Donnie Duckworth of Dongola; two sisters, Betty Dowell of Jonesboro, Pamela Virgil of Buncombe, Ill.,; special friend, Caren Mayberry of Jonesboro, Ark.; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will follow in Meisenheimer Cemetery with military graveside rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
