MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Thomas Henry Chapman, 63, of Bryant, Ark., formerly of Marble Hill, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013.
He was born Jan. 23, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, to Arnold and Dolores Chapman. He and Kathy Stoverink were married Feb. 21, 1970.
Thomas was a veteran of the Vietnam War and earned several medals including the Purple Heart.
He retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 36 years of service. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 5898 and Our Lady of Fatima Church in Benton, Ark.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Chapman of the home; a son, Brad Chapman of Bryant; a granddaughter, Macie Chapman of Maumelle, Ark.; a sister, Helen Hutson and husband Bill of Delta; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Parish prayers and Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, Mo., with the Rev. William Hennecke officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
