CHARLESTON -- Thomas A. McKenzie, 61, Charleston Route 2, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born March 16, 1933, in Hickman, Ky., son of George Warren and Hallie Fish McKenzie. He and Virginia Donaldson were married March 1, 1952...

CHARLESTON -- Thomas A. McKenzie, 61, Charleston Route 2, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born March 16, 1933, in Hickman, Ky., son of George Warren and Hallie Fish McKenzie. He and Virginia Donaldson were married March 1, 1952.

McKenzie was assistant director of public safety with the city of Charleston 36 years, retiring in 1992.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Beverly Phillips and Donna Hopper of Charleston, Carolyn Farquhar of East Prairie; a half brother, William McClanahan of New Orleans, La., and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home after 5:30 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Penn officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
