Theresa V. Schabbing, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 16, 1916, at Fruitland, Mo., daughter of Charles H. and Annie Maude Kuehn Schrock. She and Clem Herman Schabbing were married May 4, 1937, in Cape Girardeau. He died April 14, 1996.
Theresa was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, active in 4-H, St. Ann Sodality, and volunteered at St. Francis Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Pat Schabbing of Cape Girardeau, Dr. Bill and Carol Schabbing of Jackson; nine grandchildren and spouses, David and Annette Schabbing of Cape Girardeau, Mike and Sarah Schabbing of Washington state, Steve and Michele Schabbing of Gordonville, Chris and Tammy Schabbing of Jackson, Matt Schabbing of Jackson, Mark and Tracey Schabbing of Perryville, Mo., Rob and Sara Schabbing of Denver, Colo., Nicole and John Cozean of Sikeston, Mo., Kevin Schabbing of Jackson; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Grovier Schrock; and a sister, Ursula Davis.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
