KELSO -- Theon Phillip Seyer, 88, of Kelso died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 29, 1908, at Kelso, son of John and Emma Nenninger Seyer. He and Cornetta Leible were married April 2, 1932, at Jackson.
Seyer was a fireman 30 years with Cotton Belt Railroad, retiring in 1973, and was a self-employed farmer. He also had been mayor, city collector and street commissioner at Kelso.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and its Men's Club.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Marilyn LeVan of St. Louis, Judy Bane of Cape Girardeau, Linda Spitler of New Madrid; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 4 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
