Theon Leo Enderle, 85, of Sikeston passed away peacefully Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, surrounded by his loving family.

Born May 21, 1938, in Chaffee, Theon was the cherished son of Edward and Hilda Schaefer Enderle. He spent his formative years in Kelso, where he attended school and developed a strong work ethic helping with the family farm.

In 1962, Theon embarked on a lifelong journey with his beloved wife, Carol Hand Enderle. Together, they settled in Scott City and established Scott City Meat Processing, a business they operated for more than 30 years. His dedication and passion for his work endeared him to the community, leaving a lasting impact on all those he served.

Theon and Carol were blessed with two children, Jeff and Kristi, whom they raised with love and devotion. Although Theon and Carol later parted ways after 38 years of marriage, they remained close friends, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to their family and shared values.

In 1999, Theon began a new chapter of life in South Florida, where he spent 15 wonderful years. There, he cultivated deep friendships where he enjoyed dancing, gardening and walking outdoors. Family ties eventually drew him back to Missouri in 2014, where he settled in Sikeston, reconnecting with his roots and community.

Faith played a central role in Theon’s life, and he was a devoted member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso for more than 60 years and later attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.
