THEOBALD T. SCHMIDT

ALTENBURG -- Theobald Theodore Schmidt, 75, of Altenburg, died Tuesday, March 8, 1994, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 21, 1918, at Altenburg, son of Emmanuel J. and Maria S. Buck Schmidt. He and Ruth L. Petzoldt were married Nov. 9, 1942.

Schmidt was a retired farmer. He was a member and trustee of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Raymond Schmidt of Altenburg; two daughters, Marcia Scholl of St. Louis, Barbara Kramer of Jackson; two sisters, Blanda Schwesig of Belleville, Ill., Elvira Butler of St. Louis; a brother, Marvin "Pepper" Schmidt of Frohna, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, and 6:30-8 a.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church here, with the Rev. Willard Kassulke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
