CHARLESTON -- Thelmo Dean, 76, of St. Louis died Friday, March 7, 1997, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Oct. 23, 1920, in Parks, Ark., son of Joe and Tennie Davis Dean.
Dean and his twin brother, Delmo, were landscape contractors and yard maintenance workers in the Charleston area.
Survivors include four daughters, Carol Suggs of Murphysboro, Ill., Carol Robinson of Huntsville, Ala., Bertha Kellum and Nikea Davis of Bloomington, Ill.; three sons, James Suggs and Harold Winston of Charleston, Corey Davis of Bloomington; three sisters, Florine Jones of Detroit, Mich., Corine Jones of Charleston, Lucille Parker of St. Louis; two brothers, Charlie Dean of Hannibal, Leonard Dean of Charleston; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bowden Civic Center, with Steve Betts officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the center Saturday from 11 a.m. to service time.
