Thelma Maxine Sullivan, 76, of Cape Girardeau followed her angel into heaven Monday, Aug. 12, 2013.
She was born June 13, 1937, at Dexter, Mo., to Clyde Burke and Bertha O. Triplett. She was born as a twin to Velma. They were the family babies.
Thelma had eight brothers and sisters. She loved fishing with her dog, Snowball, and didn't mind retrieving him from the police station in Chaffee, Mo., when he went for a hike around town.
She greatly appreciated a fine red rose any time of the year and enjoyed dancing, singing and bingo. She was fondly known as Ms. Hollywood at Life Care Center, where she was a resident many years. She was considered family and loved by many at the center.
Thelma is survived by four children, Michael (Brenda) Harris of Waterloo, Ill., Patricia (Steve) Thomas of Chaffee, Terry (Kathy) Harris of Lexington, S.C., and Glenda (Butch) Enderle of Peyton, Colo.; six grandchildren, Michael and Crystal Harris, Michelle Dietrich (Thomas), Jennifer (Brad) Cooper (Enderle), DJ (Carla) Enderle and Jason Enderle; 12 great-grandchildren; also Paul Burke, Earl Burke, Mable Deno, Velma (Floyd) Glenn, all of Michigan, and Ruth Townsend of Dexter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Martha; brothers James and Burl; a grandson, Steven Thomas; a granddaughter-in-law, Nicole Enderle; and a great-grandson, Alexander Enderle.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Friday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Justin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Triplett Cemetery near Bloomfield, Mo.
