Thelma G. Sides, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at the home of a brother. She was born March 7, 1918, in Daisy, daughter of Toney and Virgie Cobble Suhr. She married Claude Sides Aug. 30, 1945, in Tunica, Miss. He died in November 1968...

Thelma G. Sides, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at the home of a brother.

She was born March 7, 1918, in Daisy, daughter of Toney and Virgie Cobble Suhr. She married Claude Sides Aug. 30, 1945, in Tunica, Miss. He died in November 1968.

Sides was a seamstress 44 years at Ely Walker Co. in Scott City.

Survivors include a brother, Lester L. Harris of Fruitland..

She was preceded in death by a son and a sister.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
