Thelma G. Sides, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at the home of her brother in Fruitland.

She was born March 7, 1918, in Daisy, the daughter of Toney and Virgie Cobble Suhr. She married Claude Sides Aug. 30, 1945, in Tunica, Miss. He died in November 1968.

She worked as a seamstress for 44 years for Ely Walker Co. in Scott City.

She is survived by a brother, Lester L. Harris of Fruitland.

She was preceded in death by a son and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
