PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- The Rev. Wilbert H. Bruns, 82, of Perryville died Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born July 4, 1922, in St. Charles, Mo., son of Clarence A. and Evelyn Schindler Bruns. Bruns was a retired Catholic priest. He was ordained at St. Mary's of the Barrens in Perryville on May 20, 1951...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- The Rev. Wilbert H. Bruns, 82, of Perryville died Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 4, 1922, in St. Charles, Mo., son of Clarence A. and Evelyn Schindler Bruns.

Bruns was a retired Catholic priest. He was ordained at St. Mary's of the Barrens in Perryville on May 20, 1951.

Survivors include two sisters, Helen McGowan and Clare Marie Bruns, both of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Friends may call at St. Mary's of the Barrens Church after 5 p.m. Monday with a wake at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at the Vincentian Cemetery in Perryville.

Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville is in charge of the arrangements.
