Terry Lane Randol passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Southeast Hospital.
Terry, a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau, was born March 23, 1966, and graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High in 1984, where he excelled on the baseball field, at one time holding the single season record for home runs.
He and Nancy Dickerson were married April 7, 2003.
After graduating from high school, he joined the workforce, spending many years at Southeast Hospital, Mitchell Custom Carpentry and, for the past several years, at Landmark Hospital of Cape Girardeau.
Terry was very talented and could do anything he put his mind to -- especially mechanical or construction.
He loved his family, was very giving and was willing to share his talents with anyone. He was especially proud to be called "PawPaw" by his granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; children, Brandon (Jordan Wicklund) Randol, Devin (Paige Leathers) Dickerson and Bailey (Laniah Webster) Randol; and a granddaughter, Adelynn Lucille Randol; siblings, the Rev. Greg (Marilyn) Randol, Vicki (Clark) Daniels, Cindy (the Rev. Gary) Teague and the Rev. Gary (Mindy) Randol; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, several great-nieces and -nephews, and one great-great-niece. Memories will be treasured by all who knew him.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Doyle Wayne and Alma Lucille Randol, and one nephew, Derick "Bleugene" Teague.
Terry was adamant that his family acknowledge the great care he received at Southeast Hospital. They all want to thank the staff on the fifth floor Cardiac Pavilion for the kindness and compassion given to Terry during this difficult time.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 17, with a celebration of life immediately following. Both will be at Calvary United Pentecostal Church, 581 Broadridge Drive in Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be given to Calvary UPC.
Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Online condolences may be left for the family at www.fordandsonsfuneralhome.com.
