Tara Nicole King, 47, of Cape Girardeau, passed away on Aug. 2, 2024. A beloved mother and grandmother, Tara worked at Rhodes 101 for 15 years and cherished helping others. Visitation is on Aug. 9.

Tara Nicole King, 47, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at her home.

She was born May 16, 1977, in Cape Girardeau to Robin and Tammy Jo Burton King.

She was a 1995 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.

Tara worked for Rhodes 101 for 15 years.

She enjoyed going to the casino, helping people and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her father, Robin King; son, Cory (Kelsey) Ponder; daughter, Chloe King; brother, Gregory King; sister, Dana King; and two grandchildren, Audrey and Sunnie Ponder, all of Cape Girardeau.

Tara was preceded in death by her mother and three brothers, Corey King, Dylan Polen and Bobby King.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

There will not be a funeral service.

Interment will be at a later date at Lorimier Cemetery.
