CHAFFEE -- Sylvia G. Hunter, 75, of Chaffee died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, at her home.
She was born Sept. 3, 1922, at Zalma, daughter of Ben and Katherine Knuckles Bostic. She and Ray E. Hunter were married in 1943. He died April 8, 1977.
Survivors include five sons, Dennis Hunter of East Cape Girardeau, Ill., Carl, Johnny and Ricky Hunter of Chaffee, Terry Hunter of Farmington; three daughters, Kathleen Curneal and Cathy Gaines of Chaffee, and Donna Cox of Sacramento, Calif.
Also surviving are five brothers, Melvin Bostic of Qulin, Floyd Bostic of Avert, Cecil, Elmer and Julius Bostic, all of Bloomfield; two sisters, Cleta Carver of Corcoran, Calif., Hazel Davis of Sacramento; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 3 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Don Henson officiating. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery.
