Susie Lewis, 86, of Jackson died Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Jackson Manor.
She was born March 10, 1929, in Cape Girardeau, to William Mack and Beulah Stone Futrell. She and Raymond Lewis were married May 20, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1956.
Susie was employed by Cape County Savings Bank a number of years before retiring. She was a lifelong member of Futrell Memorial Church of God in Christ in Jackson, where she served as church secretary and a member of the Mother Board.
She is survived by five sons, Larry Lewis of Jackson, Bobby Joe Lewis of Carbondale, Illinois, Wayne (Mindi) Lewis of Atlanta, Billy (Joy) Lewis of Nashville, Tennessee, and Rodney (Pat) Lewis of Coral Springs, Florida; three daughters, Jacqueline Johnson of Jackson, Kathy (Barton "Rip") Thomas and Jan Jones of Cape Girardeau; a brother, William J. Swan of Florissant, Missouri; a sister, Betty McGee of Battle Creek, Michigan; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Futrell Memorial Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with William Bird officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri, is in charge of arrangements.
