Susan A. Babcock, 50, of Lake Villa, Ill., passed away Friday, June 4, 2010, at her home, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born Sept. 9, 1959, in Sikeston, Mo., daughter of Jimmy "Chunk" and the late Mary Lou Johnson. She and Frank Babcock were married April 17, 1999.
Susan was a resident of Lake Villa the past 10 1/2 years, moving there from Jackson. She was a member of the Episcopal belief.
She had been a varsity cheerleader; homecoming, "Neighbor Day" and "Barn Warming" queen. Susan was a loving mother, wife and friend to many.
Survivors include her husband, Frank; a daughter, Conner Elizabeth; a son, Wesley Cord; her father, Jimmy Johnson; a brother, Douglas (Cheryl) Johnson; and a sister, Cyndi (Joe) Lankheit.
Also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be missed too by her dog, Bronson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou Johnson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. in Lake Villa.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Christ officiating. Interment will be in Millburn Cemetery at Old Mill Creek, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to an education fund for Conner and Wesley, (c/o of Frank Babcock).
