CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Sue Walker, 72, of Chaffee passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 28, 1942, in St. Louis, to the late Clyde Harold and Gladys Evalyn Boles Edmonds.
Sue married John E. Walker Sr. on April 26, 1965, and he survives. She is a member of the House of Prayer Church in Chaffee. She retired as a sewing machine operator at Columbia Sportswear in Chaffee.
Survivors include her husband, John Walker Sr. of the home; one son, John E. Walker Jr. of Chaffee; six daughters, Tina M. Horton, Angela S. Walker, Kimberley R. Walker Boese, Lesia K. Glastetter, Brenda J. Anderson all of Chaffee and Cecile I. Schober of Jackson; one sister, Kathy J. Hahn of Chaffee; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Glen Bentley; her infant brother; and a sister, Jean E. Nordin.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel, with the Rev. Travis Hendrix officiating. Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
