Sue Roper

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Sue Roper, 88, of Advance passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Mo.

She was born July 27, 1925, in Cullman, Ala., daughter of Clarence and Bertha Putman Howard. Sue and Bonnie Roper were married July 1, 1944, at Bloomfield. He preceded her in death Feb. 27, 2005.

Sue was a member of Union Grove General Baptist Church near Swinton, Mo.

Survivors include four sons, Ronnie Roper of Dexter, Mo., Larry and Eddie Roper of Advance and Rick Roper of Bloomfield; two daughters, Barbara Phillips and Patricia Stoker of Advance; a brother, J.L. Howard of Bismarck, Mo.; a sister, Cellesteen Alexander of Cape Girardeau; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jason Myer officiating. Burial will be in Rock Point Cemetery.
