ANNISTON, Mo. -- Sue Elizabeth Chambers, 78, of Honey Grove, Texas, formerly of Anniston, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at Goodall-Witcher Hospital in Clifton, Texas.
She was born June 7, 1922, in Carlisle County, Ky., daughter of Robert and Mary Holder Adams. She and James Lester Chambers were married Oct. 10, 1940. He died Sept. 12, 1996.
Chambers lived in Murray, Ky., and Anniston, and was a resident of Honey Grove the past 10 years. She was a member of Honey Grove Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Chambers of Celeste, Texas, Bob Chambers of Honey Grove; a sister, Myrtle Terry of Murray; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, Mo., after 5 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Terry officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Cemetery.
