Stephen Darrel "Stevie" Baker, 42, of Jackson passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at his home.
He was born Sept. 27, 1972, in Chaffee, Missouri, son of Stephen Lynn and Glenda Joyce Foster Baker. He and Amanda Jean Varney were married April 5, 2014, at Grace Family Fellowship Church in Marble Hill, Missouri.
Stevie was a graduate of Leopold High School. He was employed by Procter & Gamble in Cape Girardeau. His church family was at Grace Family Fellowship Church. He was a fan of NASCAR racing, NHRA and demolition derbies.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Wyatt and Elizabeth Baker of the home; two stepdaughters, Emma Toll and Charlie Hartis of Jackson; his parents, Stephen and Glenda Baker of Marble Hill; a brother, Derek (Lena) Baker of Glenallen, Missouri; a stepgrandchild; and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at Grace Church.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Mike Sowers officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
