SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Robert Steven Veal, 41, of Scott City died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a train at Bell Crossing near Scott City.
He was born Nov. 29, 1959, in Peoria, Ill., son of Joseph Marcus and Angela Fay Wedding Veal.
Veal was a grader at Botkin Lumber and member of the United Pentecostal Church.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his father of Vernon, Ill.; his mother of East Peoria, Ill.; two brothers, Dewey Veal of Cape Girardeau, Dale Veal of East Peoria; a sister, Rita Veal of East Peoria; and his fiancee, Connie Cox of Scott City.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
There is no visitation or service.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
