BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — Steven R. Poirrier, 57, of Bloomfield died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at his home. He was born Jan. 1, 1952, in St. Louis, son of James Edward and Leola Fay Poirrier. Poirrier was a retired over-the-road truckdriver. Survivors include his mother of Perryville, Mo.; fiancee, Reva Stroup of Bloomfield; five daughters, Shawney Brown, Kristy Poirrier and Elizabeth Cecil Jones, all of Friedheim, Mo., Mandy Chotrow of Perryville and Tracy Ballinger of Farmington, Mo.; two brothers, Jerry "Dennis" Poirrier of Coral Beach, Fla., and James Poirrier Jr. ...

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — Steven R. Poirrier, 57, of Bloomfield died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at his home.

He was born Jan. 1, 1952, in St. Louis, son of James Edward and Leola Fay Poirrier.

Poirrier was a retired over-the-road truckdriver.

Survivors include his mother of Perryville, Mo.; fiancee, Reva Stroup of Bloomfield; five daughters, Shawney Brown, Kristy Poirrier and Elizabeth Cecil Jones, all of Friedheim, Mo., Mandy Chotrow of Perryville and Tracy Ballinger of Farmington, Mo.; two brothers, Jerry "Dennis" Poirrier of Coral Beach, Fla., and James Poirrier Jr. of Altoona, Pa.; a sister, Tricia Capaz of Plant City, Fla.; and twelve grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, James Poirrier Jr. and Patric Poirrier Sr.; and two grandsons, Cole Poirrier and William Jones.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 6:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Cebulak officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
