Steve Mattison

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Steve Clark Mattison, 61, of Sikeston died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at Bertrand Retirement Home.

He was born May 7, 1950, in Sikeston to Clark and Lola Ford Mattison. He and Phyllis Clayton were married March 30, 1974.

Mattison was a truck dock foreman and member of North Acres General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dustin and Christina Mattison of Cape Girardeau, Clay and Becky Mattison of Sikeston; a sister, Sue James of Sikeston; five grandchildren, Zac, Anna, Houston, Kayla, Abby and a soon-to-be-born grandson.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tyler Mattison; two brothers; and a sister.

Visitation is from noon until time of service Saturday at North Acres Church.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Lester Clayton, pastor, officiating.
