Stephen Wayne "Chub" Sides, 62, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at his home. He was born Dec. 12, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, son of Charles "Jr." and Eva Louise Stanley Sides. Steve worked on the former Allen McDowell Dairy Farm of Jackson, and transported cars for Brugger McDowell in Jackson and Stevedores SEMO Port-transport in Cape Girardeau. Stephen Wayne "Chub" Sides, 62, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at his home.

He was born Dec. 12, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, son of Charles "Jr." and Eva Louise Stanley Sides.

Steve worked on the former Allen McDowell Dairy Farm of Jackson, and transported cars for Brugger McDowell in Jackson and Stevedores SEMO Port-transport in Cape Girardeau. He was of the Baptist belief.

Loving survivors include five brothers, Mark (Edonna) Sides, Gary (Brenda) Sides, Lynn (Anita) Sides, Terry (Cheryl) Sides, all of Jackson, David (Cindy) Sides of Burleson, Texas; four sisters, Donna (Leon) Aufdenberg of Burfordville, Nina (George) Dickerson of Millersville, Geta (Steve) Parker and Gaye Smith of Jackson; seven nieces; seven nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three nephews, a niece and a great-niece.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. Private inurnment will be in Apple Creek Cemetery at Pocahontas.

Memorials may be made to Apple Creek Cemetery, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the donor's choice.
