Stephen Earl Keith, 62, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Cairo, Illinois, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2016.
He was born Nov. 8, 1953, in Tacoma, Washington, the son of Cecil and Shirley Shepard Keith. He married Dawn Walston on Feb. 14, 1997.
Stephen was a very hard worker and was employed by Illinois American Water in Cairo for over 30 years as plant operations superintendent, where he retired in August 2015.
He enjoyed riding his Harley and loved the beach. He was an avid golfer for over 40 years and a member of Egyptian Country Club and a member of Operating Engineers.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Dawn Walston-Keith of Cape Girardeau; son Matthew Keith of Cape Girardeau; sister Vivian Windings of Cairo; brother Cecil Keith Jr. of Kevil, Kentucky; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Crain Funeral Home in Cairo. Elks service will be at 7 p.m.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation for Transplant.
