SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Stephen Clay Johnson of Scott City will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. David Hyde will officiate. Graveside service will be held at noon at Mounds National Cemetery in Mounds, Ill.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.

Johnson, 44, died Saturday, May 6, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 18, 1950, in Memphis, Tenn., son of James Paul and Betty Jane Martz Johnson. He and Regina Morene Moore were married July 18, 1969, in Memphis.

Johnson had previously worked at Triangle PWC in Sikeston. He was a member and treasurer of SEMO Amateur Radio Club at Jackson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Rex Johnson of Scott City; three brothers, Edward, Larry and Richard Johnson of Memphis, and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
