CHAFFEE -- Funeral service for Stella Prosser of Chaffee will be held at 11 a.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Watis Harrell will officiate, with burial in Union Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel from 9 a.m. until service time.
Prosser, 100, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 1997, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born Nov. 28, 1897, at Whitewater, daughter of William Easter and Emma Snider Nichols. She and Elmer Otto Prosser were married Jan. 11, 1913. He died Jan. 5, 1957.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Blattel of Chaffee, Hazel Davis of St. Louis, Thelma Davis of Ft. Worth, Texas; a brother, Raymond Nichols of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Alberta Evans of Hemet, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
