BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Stella M. Pikey, 88, of Bloomfield died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Sept. 13, 1914, at Portageville, Mo., daughter of Tom and Laucinda Hawkins White. She and Cecil Pikey were married Jan. 3, 1934, at New Madrid, Mo. He died June 8, 1972...

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Stella M. Pikey, 88, of Bloomfield died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 13, 1914, at Portageville, Mo., daughter of Tom and Laucinda Hawkins White. She and Cecil Pikey were married Jan. 3, 1934, at New Madrid, Mo. He died June 8, 1972.

Pikey farmed with her husband, and was a member of Church of God.

Survivors include three sons, James Pikey of Burton, Mich., Cecil Pikey Jr. and Thomas Pikey of Scott City; a daughter, Linda Rampley of Bloomfield; a brother, Claude White of Marston, Mo.; two sisters, Dorothy Kirby of Marston, Ruth Brown of Fenton, Mich; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, five brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo., from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Howard Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Mounds Park Cemetery at Lilbourn, Mo.
